Person Centred Counselling

Person Centred Counselling (PCC) offers a humanistic approach which looks to highlight how a person perceives themselves consciously, and with help, to explore the subconscious thoughts.
PCC was originally created by Carl Rogers in the 1950’s who believed everyone has a tendency to achieve their full potential.  However, life experiences can block or distort what someone really wants or believes. A person’s sense of value can greatly suffer as a result, disabling ideas and hopes and inhibiting life.
Within PCC, the therapists role is to help you to understand your individual experiences, beliefs and inner values, enabling you to reconnect with yourself and restoring inner values, self-worth and your own identity.
It creates a space which is non-judgemental, honest, accepting, confidential, and creates the opportunity for explorations, curiosity, self-healing and personal growth.
This approach can be used for many problems such as depression, anxiety, stress and grief amongst many other issues.
